Types Of Vacuums
Here at Eddie's Vacuums and Appliances, Inc., we provide a wide variety of vacuums to accommodate any and every floor-cleaning need. Our vacuums come equipped with all components and accessories needed to perform professional cleaning services.
Upright Vacuum - This is by far the most popular style in the U.S. These vacuums are pushed in front of the user and have a handle extending from the main body. Most have a spinning brush roll, and many have onboard tools for cleaning upholstery, stairs or hard to reach areas.
Canister Vacuum - This type of vacuum is pulled behind the user. It is equipped with hoses, and has a filtering unit and separate motor. It has a rectangular or oval shape with wheels for easy navigation. It comes with several types of nozzles:
- Straight suction
- Powerhead
- Turbo brush
Central Vacuum System – This type is usually staged in the garage or basement and has larger, more powerful motors. An internal tank is used for storage of dirt and water-based solutions.
Steam Vacuum - This cleaning systems outputs cleaning solutions into the carpet in order to loosen up the dirt embedded in the carpet, and then extracts it into an internal tank to be emptied.
Stick Vacuums – Are used primarily for small areas or just for pickups. They also use a rechargeable battery, and have a long stem for handling purposes.
Backpack/Hip Vacuum – This style is very portable, is carried on the back and has a harness around the waist. It is usually used for commercial sites because of its versatility.
Wet/Dry Vacuums – Also known as “Shop Vac,” these are usually needed for heavy-duty industrial jobs. They can be used for picking up water and large particles. They also have multiple motors.
Carpet Sweeper – Although it does not have a motor, we include it as a cleaning mechanism for floors.
